Dr. Nekia Staley-Neither, D.D.S – Owner, Special Care Dentistry & Founder, The Other White Coats
Dr. Nekia Staley-Neither, D.D.S. affectionately referred to as Dr. Nekia, is a dedicated mother of six who has made significant achievements in the field of dentistry and community service. She began her journey at Spelman College, where she pursued a Pre-Med Biology major, and her dedication to service was evident through her volunteer work at the Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Nekia then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry and further honed her expertise as a DECOD fellow at the University of Washington, specializing in the care of mentally and physically challenged individuals. Over the years, she has successfully owned and operated three dental practices, providing essential oral health services to countless residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
In 2017, driven by her passion for helping those with special needs, Dr. Nekia established the non-profit organization Special Care for Special Needs Dentistry. This organization serves as a crucial support system for patients with special needs, offering mobile dental services, caregiver education, and raising awareness about oral health disparities in this community. Dr. Nekia’s commitment to community service extends beyond her organization, as she actively participates in health fairs, dental events, and community service projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. Her dedication to bettering her community, combined with her notable achievements in dentistry, makes Dr. Nekia a remarkable figure in the field of healthcare and community service.
DeVon Banks, CEO of D-TECH Billing and Claims
DeVon Banks is CEO of D-TECH Billing and Claims, a successful billing and claims company based in Maryland that has worked with hundreds of dental offices since 1998. DeVon is an industry expert in Revenue Cycle Management, Practice Management, Compliance and Dentrix. She leads a robust team of billing professionals in managing the revenue for clients all over the country. DeVon is active in the nonprofit sector as well. She acts as a board member for Special Care Special Needs and Chairwoman of the Board for People for Change Coalition Her passions include dancing, kickball, and travel.
Andria Harrington- Dental Expert, Coach & COO of Special Care Dentistry
Andria Harrington is a highly skilled dental professional with a passion for excellence in patient care and a wealth of experience in the field. With 8 years of dedicated service in the dental industry, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to ensuring the well-being of patients and the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Andria currently serves as the COO of Special Care Dentistry, a reputable dental practice known for its exceptional patient-centered care. In her role, she plays a pivotal part in coordinating daily operations and ensuring the overall efficiency and profitability of the practice. She also serves as a professional dental coach, coaching doctors on how to implement systems in the office to ensure practice growth.
Andria’s extensive experience in the dental field has allowed her to develop a keen understanding of the unique needs of both patients and dental professionals. She is known for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and friendly, reassuring demeanor that puts patients at ease.
